Paula seemingly has everything she needs to be happy — a stable relationship, a promising teaching career, and a clear life plan. Yet she feels increasingly alienated from her own life. As the pressure of expectations grows, Paula loses the ability to dream and begins to withdraw into small lies and avoidance strategies.
Her carefully planned exit collapses when her boyfriend Emil leaves for Norway and her sister moves out of their shared apartment, leaving Paula alone with the fragile structure of her life. While those around her move forward, Paula feels an overwhelming urge to disappear and start over.
